Privacy policy

Your information deserves care.

This policy explains what information the Growing Together campaign website collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who this policy covers

This website is operated for Montessori School of Yakima’s Growing Together capital campaign. This policy applies to information collected through this campaign website, including its online pledge and campaign inquiry forms. It does not replace the privacy policies of external websites or payment providers.

Information you provide

We collect information you choose to submit so the campaign team can respond to you or administer a pledge intention.

  • Campaign inquiries: name, email address, area of interest, and any optional message. Notes are stored for campaign follow-up and sent to Sarah through Resend when email delivery is configured.
  • Online pledges: pledge amount, intended schedule, preferred payment method, desired start date, name, email address, optional phone number or organization, recognition preference, and optional notes.
  • Checkout: the donation link takes you to PayPal, where you enter and review your amount and payment details. This site does not transmit a selected amount or start a recurring subscription.
  • Consent: confirmation that MSY may contact you about the campaign or follow up about your pledge.
We do not collect card or bank details on this website.

Enter payment information only on PayPal’s secure payment page, never in campaign forms or messages.

Technical and security information

Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps and the page that referred a form submission. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, it may process network and device signals to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse.

The campaign site does not currently use advertising cookies or sell visitor activity to advertisers. Site interactions may generate first-party campaign events inside the browser, but the current website does not transmit those events to an advertising network.

Electronic pledge signatures

If electronic signing is enabled, the website verifies access to the donor’s email using a one-time code. The donor reviews the pledge agreement and electronic-records disclosure, types their full legal name and explicitly confirms signing. MSY retains the donor and mailing details, exact agreed terms and consent version, typed signature, verification and signing timestamps, IP address when available, browser information and original PDF. Email verification does not independently verify a person’s identity.

The donor and Sarah at sdekalbroy@msofy.org receive copies of the same PDF through MSY’s configured email provider, Resend. Signed files are stored privately, not published in the public document directory. Authorized advisers and prospective lenders may receive signed pledge records when reviewing campaign financing, as disclosed before signing. Unfinished verification requests expire after 15 minutes and are removed after a further 24 hours when the signing service next processes a request.

How information is used

  • Respond to questions and requests for a campaign conversation.
  • Record, confirm and administer pledge intentions and separately signed pledge agreements.
  • Communicate about the campaign when you have asked us to follow up.
  • Protect the forms and website from spam, fraud and misuse.
  • Maintain appropriate campaign, stewardship and legal records.
  • Improve the usefulness and reliability of the campaign website.

When information may be shared

MSY may share information with authorized staff, campaign volunteers or professional advisers who need it for campaign administration. Information may also be processed by vendors that provide hosting, database, security, communications or payment services. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of an authorized organizational transition.

MSY does not sell personal information submitted through this campaign website.

Payment providers and external links

PayPal processes payments under its own privacy policy and terms. The campaign website does not automatically receive confirmation of payments made through this hosted link. MSY may access donor and transaction information through its PayPal account to administer gifts and acknowledgments. Other third-party links have their own privacy practices.

Retention and security

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, administer the campaign, maintain donor and pledge records, meet legal or accounting obligations and resolve disputes. MSY uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask the campaign team to update inaccurate contact information, stop nonessential campaign communications or consider a request to access or delete information you submitted. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or campaign-administration purposes.

Children’s privacy

This campaign website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit personal information about a child through the pledge or inquiry forms. If MSY learns that information was submitted by a child without appropriate authorization, it will take reasonable steps to address it.

Changes and questions

We may update this policy as campaign systems or practices change. The updated date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests may be sent through the campaign contact form.
