Families are waiting for a place in our school community.
Remaining in our current facility is not an option.
The need
For decades, Montessori School of Yakima has provided children in our community with an education that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
A key part of that success has been the school’s long-time home, where MSY has operated at an affordable cost. Our lease expires in 2028 and cannot be renewed, so MSY must relocate. With the Johnson’s Orchards parcel now purchased, the next step is to plan and prepare a lasting campus.
One shared goal
Our campaign goal is $16 million in gifts and commitments to secure a lasting home for Montessori education in Yakima. This is our fundraising goal—not money already raised or a finalized construction budget.
One campaign goal. A lasting home for MSY.
Support a long-term location and the planning needed to protect Montessori education for generations to come.
With the property purchased, design, construction schedule, and total cost remain subject to further planning and approval. The homepage progress meter shows the school’s published fundraising total separately from the goal.
Responsible stewardship
MSY will plan the next home with care. School leadership and qualified professionals will shape the details, while the campaign keeps the community informed as decisions are approved.
How you can help
A place for the next chapter
MSY completed the purchase of the Johnson’s Orchards parcel on October 23, 2026—a tangible step toward our next home.
The purchase secures the property. Campus design, permitting, financing, and construction planning will guide what comes next. A completed purchase is not a completed campus.
